    Joly, it's similar for the type of zoom (variable size), BUT it's 2.8 and fixed 2.8! So, it cannot be similar, just only for fixed aperture

    At 70mm the back focus is 14mm, so it's native for ML. What are the other advantages? Firstly the zoom scheme is different from EF. This lens has a variable dimension and for a ML is a great advantage. Secondly in the patent there also an example for f4 version....

    I think the new lenses will be optimized for RF (more contacts) but actually they NEED to be EF, just for market. It's easy to convert EF to RF but no viceversa.     Have you seen the size of these lenses? The old superzoom appear pankakes! length of the lens 321.17 for 35-350 3.5-5.6 362.82 for 35-400 406.68 for 29-350 374.08 for 25-300 I think these are cine lens for S35 and FF cameras because the size of image is not always for FF
