Photoshop brush / Wacom tablet problem

Frank - thanks for your suggestion. My "c:" tree doesn't appear to be structured like yours, but I'm not computer literate enough to try what you suggest anyway. As I don't have the problem as long as I start to draw immediately, or double tap to start, I think I'm OK leaving things as they are.

Photoshop brush / Wacom tablet problem

Thanks YuengLinger. The map was loaded into Photoshop by pasting a screen print into a new document (PSD). I tried your idea of a new layer, but it didn't make any diffenence. However, with further trials I've discovered that if I move the pen immediately upon it touching the tablet, then it...

Photoshop brush / Wacom tablet problem

I am using Photoshop 2019 CC, Wacom Intuos Pro M and Windows 10 (Windows 10 updates are run whenever offered). I have taken a Google road map and loaded it into Photoshop. I am using the brush tool to draw lines on the roads tracing my trip route. When I use the mouse I have no problem...

    Mounting Photos to MDF

Thanks for your idea Mt. Spokane. I ordered a 12" X 36" photo mounting on MDF from Costco to see the quality of the product, and just picked it up. I am happy with the result. I'll have to examine my 8' print and see if sectioning it would work given there are buildings in the picture. The...

    Mounting Photos to MDF

Looking for advice about permanently mounting photos to MDF (medium density fiberboard). Costco Photo will do 12"X36" for about CAD45, which is reasonable, but they can't go much longer than 36". I have one panorama that is 12"X96" I'd like to mount (got a quote from a framing shop for...

Problems from focus, depth of field or high ISO?

Thanks Mt. Spokane. I have requested a similar focusing rig for Xmas. Does the 5DIV automatically use DPAF in live view or do I have to do something in the menu to activate it? I haven't had a chance to delve into the manual yet.

Problems from focus, depth of field or high ISO?

Here is the frame before the first one posted above. The back wing, head and legs look to be pretty well in focus with the nearest wing tips very soft. I'm guessing I was about 30 ft away when I took the shot. DOFMaster calculator yields a DOF of 1.28ft in front of focus plane for these...

Problems from focus, depth of field or high ISO?

Thanks to all for your comments. I will experiment with a larger range of Av settings and location of focus point, which will be the most difficult part. I also have difficulty in zooming while keeping the focus point on the birds, so need more practice with that. Fortunately there are lots...

Problems from focus, depth of field or high ISO?

Thanks Alan. I'm not quite sure on your terminology regarding "full frame downsized or crops". The Jpeg image size was reduced in Photoshop to 3000X2000 as the full original Jpeg exceeded what this site allows. No cropping of the image was done. I've never used DPP to process an image, so...

Problems from focus, depth of field or high ISO?

I just bought a 5DIV and took it out to test tracking ability. I'm attaching 3 images all taken with 100-400 II. I'm not sure whether my problems with lack of sharpness as well as muddiness in the wings are from poor focus, lack of sufficient depth of field, effects of high ISO or a...

    M5/M6 and EF-M Lens Questions

The M5 uses a different battery than the M50. I also use Watson batteries for my 5D III and have been happy with them. Watson makes a charger for the M5 batteries, but doesn't appear to make an LP-E17 battery to go in their charger.

    M5/M6 and EF-M Lens Questions

Thanks Neuro. I was really thinking about the clear filter which I may leave on most of the time (but did not express that). However, since I have the polarizer I need to consider it as well. I'll have to play around with both methods with both filters to see which works best (but it's...

    M5/M6 and EF-M Lens Questions

Neuro, I can confirm the F-Pro (at least the polarizers) don't interfere with the bayonet lens hoods. Given the low profile of the hood for the 22mm lens, is it best to mount the filter to the hood, or the hood to the filter (reflections or flare off filter vs. vignetting)?

    M5/M6 and EF-M Lens Questions

Thanks for your suggestion but I've already ordered two Canon batteries (which together cost substantially more than the last vehicle battery I bought). It looks like nobody has duplicated the chip for this battery.

    Intervalometer for M5

Thanks Andrei - that is good to know. If the $8 adapter doesn't work, I may try your idea. I have containers of unused cables laying around; surely there must be a 2.5mm mini-plug in one of them.

    Intervalometer for M5

I found an N3 female to 2.5mm male adapter on Amazon for $8 which I can use with my existing N3 intervalometer, so this should solve my problem.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think of it that way. However, isn't the jack 2.5mm?

    Intervalometer for M5

I bought the M5. When reading the manual I was surprised to find that Canon doesn't seem to offer an intervalometer accessory for it. Does anyone have an intervalometer solution for the camera? I've seen a reference to someone using a Neewer intervalometer (available on Amazon) but it I...
