Canon will release the EOS Ra astrophotography camera

From my location seeing the red part of the aurora is normal as we observe it from the mid latitudes and therefore see the higher parts which are often red.

Canon will release the EOS Ra astrophotography camera

Question for those in the know. Would this be beneficial for Aurora photography or not?

Do you think the 90D is superior to the 7DII?

Free diving to 10 meters is fairly standard. Tbh 12-15 m is more the depth that most experienced free divers will get down to on a regular basis. The trick is making sure you have enough air to get back up ;)

Certainly sounding like a substantial jump in IQ. I am almost disappointed I won't be getting it

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

You should probably have read the rest of the thread before posting that as I dealt with the specific situation issue. And again I say the camera is not a hindrance. If you choose the wrong camera for the job then the hindrance is your decision making, not the camera. Every camera on the market...

    M6 mk II review...

It's hard to make it all the way through youtoob camera reviews. But again it seems to be yet another tick for the image quality and sensor performance.

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

Nup. Again. You have missed the point entirely. Anyone who is USING a Phillips head screwdriver to attach all types of fasteners shouldn't even be allowed to use duct tape. Clearly the screwdriver isn't the problem. It is the user. How are you missing this very basic point?

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

This comment makes no sense. At all. The blanket statement is entirely accurate. Because if you are finding the phase one a hindrance to your action photography it is because the flaw is with the user for choosing the wrong camera. Same as anyone who finds the R a hindrance to taking good...

Canon will reclaim their full-frame megapixel crown [CR1]

Enough?8-10 In most use cases. Too many? No such thing. As long as our computing power is capable of dealing with the amount of information then you can't have too much detail can you?

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

If one were shooting sports or action with a phase one then the hindrance wouldn't be the camera. It would be one's mental capacity to make logical decisions ;) . Specialist use cases were not mentioned in the OP . Just that the cameras make it hard to take good photos.

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

A phase one 100mp isn't the best in all genres either but no o e would call it a 'hindrance' would they. The R and the Rp are both cameras that are perfectly capable of producing excellent results in the hands of even incompetent photographers. A hindrance will actually prevent one from doing...

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

I would just say that anyone who finds the R a 'hindrance to taking good photos should give up photography and stick to fingerpainting. Fact is there is no new ILC on the market that is a hindrance to taking good photos

    POLAR LIGHTS

This was shot on the 31-8-19 from Hobart, Tasmania. We are too far north to be positioned under the auroral oval but still get a good show during a strong aurora. We reached a local k-index of 6 at the peak of this one. Luckily the total cloud cover clear e d for an hour or two during the event.

Why Waiting for The Next Rf Body Is So Frustrating

Yes. 4 FF mirrorless models makes sense. The entry-level RP. The R. The Rs and the Rx. So if we go by that theory then the 5d equivalent is the R and you probably won't see the body you want until the R is updated. Having said that however I don't think the first upgrade will be a 4 year wait. I...

The impact of Large Sensor Super-Smartphones on Low-end to Mid-range Photography

Wouldn't matter if those images were taken on a 100mp phase one medium format sensor. They would still be s#@t. Subject, light and composition are all crap and those are the things that make a photo worthwhile.
