Canon officially announces the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Macro

There is no place for this lens in your bag, but that doesn't mean there is no place for it on the market…

Here is the Canon EOS R5, official development announcement soon.

I'm using Prograde cards, advertised at 250 MB/sec (V90), and I never had any problems with speed. Could it be because my RP is relatively slow but has a good buffer? I'm only photographing, no video.

Here is the Canon EOS R5, official development announcement soon.

I agree. I used to shoot with a 1D mark ii, and when I suddenly found myself with a RP in my hands, it gave me a strange and not too pleasant feeling. I love the fact that the RP is small and light in the bag, on the shoulder or clipped at the waist, but when it's in my hands, my fingers feel...

    Canon EOS R5 Specifications

All of us for whom english is not the mother tongue or who were not fortunate enough to learn it properly are contrite for being inferior humans without decent credibility. Sorry for our crappy use of such a beautiful language.

Here is the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM Macro

At first, I also was intrigued by this configuration, but then I thought of the way I often use manual focus: iso is set, aperture is set, speed is set, but I'm having trouble focusing for any number of reasons. At that moment, I'll switch to manual focus and take the shot without having to...

Stock Notice: Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM in stock at Adorama

Envy being a deadly sin, I guess I'm going to hell… The colors are probably very warm, there, I can't wait to test my camera under those conditions!

    EOS RP bricked

That scares me a bit, indeed! This week-end, while attending a marathon (not as a runner, sadly), I missed shots because my RP was dead for a moment. I turned it off and on again without success, and it started working fine again a few seconds later. Still, I missed a beautiful couple wearing...

Canon has released firmware version 1.3.0 for the EOS RP

I went to the climate march yesterday and tested my improved RP. Oh! With tens of thousands of pairs of eyes to choose from, this baby was so happy, as was I with the face and eyes tracking.

Canon’s New DP-V3120 4K Reference Display Delivers Unprecedented HDR Capabilities

Yeah… But I heard that this monitor can't even film 4K without cropping: Canon is doomed, I'm switching to Sony!

    Lensbaby and the RP

A friend has lent me his lensbaby for the summer, but my RP doesn't want to have anything to do with it: the shutter release doesn't do anything at all. My hypothesis is that the RP doesn't detect the presence of the lens and refuses to take a picture. I didn't find anything in the preferences...

Canon officially announces the RF 85mm f/1.2L USM

It seems reasonable (and even sometimes useful) to complain about the cost of things we need to pay for (electricity, food, public transit, etc.), but not so much for things we want but easily can do without, like a photoshoot or an amazing new lens… It would be totally irresponsible for me to...

    If you go R/RF?

Of course, using the full aperture would not be mandatory in macro, but let's not forget that the EF 100mm f/2.8 is a great portrait lens. Wouldn't the RF 100mm f/1.2 also be?

    If you go R/RF?

Does your 70-200 f/2.8 work flawlessly with your RP? There must be something wrong with mine, I can only use it in manual focus mode.

    If you go R/RF?

For now, the RP is very pleasant to shoot with, but when the RX comes out, I might very well upgrade. As for lenses, I've rapidly grown fond of the lens ring. Clever thing! The kit lens for the RP, the 24-105 f/4, would be perfect at f/2.8 or better, though. I'm new to 24-105, I enjoy the...
