FF should obviously work with the best lenses. Therefore I think that EF mount is a no-brainer. If it's anything else with or without adaptors, it sounds like a very stupid idea. Then again, it's Canon.

Still using my Mark III. Really waited for the Mark IV to get some of the minor Mark III issues fixed, but the 4200€ price tag now has me considering switching to Nikon. Too bad there's no Nikon 85 mm f/1.2. :(

That's beyond ridiculous. I want the body, but definitely not that much. That is over 1000€ more than what my 5D3 cost when I bought it pretty much straight after its release in Finland.

I have 2 copies. After setting the AFMA to work with portrait distances, they won't nail the focus on distant subjects.

So you have a copy that doesn't produce those annoying (and commonly known as issues of the lens) red and green edges around subjects that are out of focus? It is indeed a great portrait lens, but one must also know its limitations. This is why I said that it is not a lens that should be used...

I mainly use it wide open. Maybe I get the impression of it not being sharp from that. Either, like said, it's likely still my favorite lens. Sharp enough especially after some PP sharpening. Definitely not my sharpest lens, but it still produces the best shots.
