    EOS-R high resolution

Yeah I think so too. I see a lot of participants on workshops with Sony A7, Nikon, Fuji and Panasonic even but none of them are as 'convincing' as my EOS-R. The lcd screen on the R is miles ahead and image quality is superb especially with the RF lenses. More megapixels would be great so long...

    EOS-R high resolution

Anyone else have a sneaky feeling that this is going to be ground breaking? Or will it just be enough? Are we going to be seeing the first outing for the curved sensor?

On the Canon USA website it mentions FEB in the tech specs... Is this focus stacking?

Dynamic range comparison between the EOS RP, EOS 6D Mark II and EOS R

Do you not use the histogram? Shoot in manual ideally and never an issue.. Shoot in AV and adjust the eV to make the histogram right and its not an issue either. Shoot in AV or auto modes and you are going to get unpredictable results.

5 axis IBIS coming to next Canon EOS R series camera [CR2]

I recently had a client on a 1-2-1 workshop that shot sony a7riii that we just couldn't get to take a blur free long exposure on a tripod... until we turned off the IBIS. the sony was ok but having loaded them into Lightroom later for processing the colours are very strange

5 axis IBIS coming to next Canon EOS R series camera [CR2]

Would just be another thing for me to remember to switch off. Can they just do a super beefed up stills version without these expensive additions and video that I never use.

    Canon EOS R usability issues

I love mine. Changed from 5d Mark iv that I had for a couple of years. 2 real issues with the R for me.. 1: when i am shooting in the rain, the IR sensor gets confused about water on it and refuses to allow the screen to work. 2: I set the mfn bar to just have taps at either end for either...

    EOS R L Bracket

The 3 legged thing L bracket fits nice enough... LR has the camera profile already...I just ordered a newerer LCD timer remote and it works perfectly for £12 Fed up with dropping the very expensive canon ones in the sea plus I get a 6 month head start on it over you

    EOS-R evf options

Yeah that's cool.. I don't use the jpegs as I shoot raw and DPP NEVER gets used. They are now much more realistic in the evf and that was the objective. Thank you

EOS R first impressions - post your hands-on impressions here

Got mine today. Ergonomics: Great feel to it .. nice grip for XL hands. Keep going for playback button on bottom left a la 5D but I'll get used to that. Autofocus: lightening quick. Quicker than my 5D IV and it is pure witchcraft how dark this can still nail the focus in. I swear it could...

Interview: Talking with Canon about the EOS R system and its future

Maybe this eos R is the branching point for two distinct specialist lines.. One line going cinema and 8k and all the video gubbins that some desire.. The other line going high resolution stills camera a la 5DSR. I would find that a great option and cpuld keep everyone happy

So far so good, the Canon EOS R pleasantly surprised Jared

I wish Canon would do a stills only version of the R. Getting rid of the whingers that want xyz video feature and expecting the vast majority that don't use those video features to subsidise it for them. Strip the video stuff out and give us some more still photographic goodies.
