You make a good point here. Some people want SD and some people need Express. There a lots of different people with varying needs. Like express in great for video, and absolute speed when shooting RAW, SD works for RAW but better with JPEG only. So maybe he could of done RAW to express and Jpeg...

Would of been nice to have Focus AI improves like greater subject recognition or deep learning. Like on the R3. The camera is great but little tweaks like this will go a. Long way to make it phenomenal.

Agreed, the R5 can still do with so refinement overall. it’s a remarkable camera but the AI can still be improved more.

It's great that canon is still trying to improve their current hardware with software/firmware upgrades. Gives confidence as a buyer.

I totally agree with you here 4999 seems more poise to take the market by storm. by the time you add taxes and accessories and some pro glass they will more than compensate, believe it will really hurt the other brands. just a thought

Hope we see a new firmware upgrade for the R5 and R6 for improved subject recognition and tracking. My R5 does pick up some of the local wildlife.

Some working professionals want reliability and stick to what has been tried and true over the years, many will stick with the 1dxIII and would be hard press to get the latest new camera on the market, The rumoured R1 won't fill those shoes just yet.

But the RF mount is also wider as well. That must count for something? Im not an engineer but there must be a reason canon went with the wider RF mount. The engineers must of thought that this would be a tremendous advantage to the canon ecosystem down the road.
