3rd party lens profile correction for Lightroom?

Are there any resources out there to import (like a plugin) into Lightroom a lens profile correction for lenses other than what Lightroom already supports? For example, I use the Voigtlander 20mm on my Canon 5D3. In LR, if I click on profile correction/auto it does nothing, but if I trick it by clicking custom then make=Canon it then immediately applies the correction specs for the Canon 20mm 2.8 lens. Which is great. And judging by an eye test I like the results fairly well.

But you can see the quandry: I don't know if there is a more scientific profile correction that could be applied that's more true to the Voigtlander. I'm using LR 5.3 so if the answer is to finally upgrade to CC because it has Voigtlander profile corrections, then I'd be interested in hearing that too.

Thanks ... after clicking through a few more links from your link I found the instructions for creating your own profile correction:

But I guess my question is: Is there already a source on the internet for me to find and download existing lens profiles that other people already created? This process outlined in the link entails many steps and I suppose I'd try it some day if I ever had time but for now looking for existing profiles.

Sometimes just clicking on various profiles gets you the desired result. That being said I don't live by lens profiles by any means, I apply them in import when using a solitary lens on a shoot but always declick it to view the difference in distortion and vignetting/brightness.

You can see the list of all lens profiles for Lightroom and ACR at this link. They are listed by lens makers and you can find one for Voigtlander SL II 20mm f/3.5 Color-Skopar Aspherical (profiled in Nikon mount).

Hope this helps,

Thank you! - that chart answered my question in that it indicates the Voigtlander 20mm profile was added to LR with v. 6 and since I'm still running 5.3... well, guess it's a good reason to upgrade.
