7D video drops frames when played back using on Mac using QuickTime Pro.

Recorded video with 7D in full auto exposure mode in full HD at 1920x1080 and 30 fps. Lens IS may have been active, not sure.

In-camera video playback is smooth, and so is playback on HDTV via the HDMI port. Playback of *.mov file on Mac using QuickTime Pro drops frames - very jittery. What's the problem?

I saw this over at David Harry Stewart's blog a while back:

"Jumpy Footage, Skipping frames"

He found a workaround. I'm not sure if this is still necessary. This might be caused by an improper setting. I would check my shutter speed. Also, there have been a number of firmware upgrades. Take whatever I say with a grain of salt as I am an amateur.
