Opinions, you asked.

I like this one ok I guess, probably more accurate to say I don't dislike it, it just doesn't have any magic for me.

The first, I'm still wow about it. One glance grabbed my eye, the photo transcended all the "look what my gear can do" or, look what I can do with my gear" concepts and critique, all I saw was flowers, colors, radiant threes.

Of course after the initial impression I wanted to know all about how you did it, details, details.

This one, there are so many more flowers, none stand out.

While the technical aspect is pretty cool and certainly beyond my abilities (assuming that the process of making the image is similar to the last one), the image doesn't do anything for me.

I see bluish reflections/hot spots that look unnatural.

I don't care for the multiple shadow lines.

I am used to seeing or expecting to see some area(s) that are out of focus.

On the other hand, maybe this image would really pop when viewed in a larger format than the web attachment.

Perhaps...just perhaps your overlooking the trees for the forest.

I think the orchids look just great. I think it is the plain dark background that makes the whole picture look like a sterile lab specimen - kind of a picture for a Botany textbook if you know what I mean. I love the stacking and the lighting otherwise.
