Hi
Some advice needed.
Which will give me the greater number of shots?
a/ 2 Batteries used one after the other, or
b/ 2 Batteries in a Battery Grip, or.
c/ The same in both cases.
Thanks

Roger

It should be c, just from a theoretical point. If the camera consumes more energy depending on how much it has available, I would be concerned.

It does of course depend on the camera. With some cameras adding a grip extends the bodies functionality and that can of course increase battery consumption.

Hi Roger.
I would say C too, I have 2 genuine Canon batteries in the grip on my 7DII, (both down to 1 red square for most of their life!) and the camera shows shots per battery, it seems that it will use the batteries alternately as there is sometimes a discrepancy of 10’s of shots between them! Some sort of wear levelling or something?
This is for my 7D which has aftermarket batteries, last used for video hence the low shutter count for such a high power use! My 7DII has just been recharged so shows 0 shots for 100% charge, the figures reset after each charge cycle!
