Did anyone manage to secure the $300 mail-in-rebate on this deal. I don't see any signs of $300 rebates and I'm a bit concerned about pulling the trigger only to find out there's nothing there there. Just curious

I bought the 70-200 2.8L II a couple of weeks ago on the same deal and also didn't see the $300 rebate directly on B&H. But within about 2 minutes of checking out, I got an email from them with the forms and instructions for getting the rebate.

I believe the rebate is given in the form of a Amex Pre-paid card. I've done the rebate deal, and was able to track the progress of it online. They take the maximum possible time to process it, but at least, you can see online that it was received and approved. Then its still several weeks before they send the card.

However, the instant rebates were no bargain, since they were off the retail price. This is a much better deal.

that's a good deal but not as good as it was a few weeks ago where it was $1599, i think you will see it there again soon,

bhphoto is extending the holiday return period till 1-17-2014. if they reduce the price further in that time they will refund you the difference if you talk to them i think

they have cut back on the rewards, it was 4% now it's 2%
