Hi Guys.
Well this is driving me crazy for a long time.
But not only me, its in all forums worldwide.

The Auto Iso function ist so bad and not usable.
f.e.: Auto Iso in M -> Iso400 is fixed !--> better like Nikon incl all Iso!!!
or you set to AV, put a 24II on top and shutter time is fixed at 1/20 or 1/30?!? (like focal length...)
This is not enought, because there is a need for a Limit (1/100 etc..)

Why this is not possible??
Its a simple programming, done in a few minutes.
We need a changement by fimware for this!!! (plus many more things)
when you take a look at 1D/7D/550D/60D, all those Cams do it a better way.
So its not possible for the 5DII????????

(Or like the Nikon D700 (well D90 did it also...)) :p

Please Canon make this feature usable for us!
Incl. exposure compensation!!!
This is right now not working for us, who needs this.
M is simply not workable and enough for a fast workaround.

Cheers from Berlin.

Different users like different features, so a product will not have every possible feature that people will want, but we can wish.

Canon tends to use the rule of shutter speed = 1/X(lens focal length) and then increases or lowers ISO to the lowest value needed to meet that rule. So, my 5D MK II with 50mm lens sets about a 1/50 shutter speed at whatever aperture I set and adjusts ISO accordingly.

What I'd like to see is the ability to change that rule to 1/2X, 1/5X, etc. This probably also accomplishes what people want when they want to set limits on ISO, since by using 1/5X, the ISO would increase to meet a fast shutter soeed, or by using 1/0.5X, ISO would stay low and shutter speed would be reduced while aperture stayed the same.

It would be nice to do it on a lens by lens basis as well.
