I've run the numbers and this thread needs a cat. She looks a bit orange because my obnoxious orange t-shirt reflected some.

picked mine up today and here are a few test shots. my initial impression is that it everything you want in a landscape lens. the color and contrast is really good. canon must have done something with the coatings to accentuate the blues, it looks like it has a built in polarizer. my sigma 8-16 is like that too. the sharpness plenty good across the frame.

I´ll pick up mine this afternoon. Crossing my fingers that it is as good as I´m hoping and most reviews seem to conclude. I get the impression from your posts that some of the issues I had with the 16-35 f2.8L II is well taken care of. Hope to find time to play with it this weekend.
