Pray tell, what is the "cropped-wide-angle look"?

I just meant shooting portraits at a really wide angle (16mm) to get some of that distorted environment and background in the shot, without too much distortion on the subject. Since I shot it on my 7Dii my working distance was pretty comfortable and I was getting the crop in camera naturally.

Great picture Bryan :)

From your position, and the emptiness of the canyon, I assume you took a photography tour in the canyon?

We went to both upper and lower Antelope two years ago, and while the upper certainly is beautiful, especially at the right time of day, we found the lower antelope more interesting/appealing. Also had a lot to do with the hordes of tourists that were squeezed through the upper canyon :D
