Exportintensiv RAW Files from LR4.3 catalouge

Hey guys,
Is it possible to export a selection of pictures filtered by e.g. the rating as raw file copy to another location on the drive?

Do you want to move them, or make a copy?

Lightroom will move them for you, while in the Library, set the rating filter to select files you want, and drag them to a different folder. Why anyone would do this is another question.

Lightroom does not let you have duplicate files in your catalog, but lets you make Virtual copies and put them in any folder you want. You can edit them as a cr2.

I suspect that you could use a better understanding as to how Lightroom uses a database fir edits. You can have many edits of a given cr2 image, but only one original.

You can select (based on whatever filters you want) a grouping of photos and export it as a second LR Catalog, and as part of that you can (I believe) tell it to copy the files to another location as well.

Yes, you can maintain two different catalogs with the same image in them but a physical copy located in a different location. With few exceptions, that's a surefire receipe for disaster.

Thanks for the help, found the export option "original" That was what I was looking for.
