I ordered six of these (12 drives) (Back Ordered) just for the drives which I'll use to upgrade my Qnap NAS and have spares. They say its designed to easily remove the drives, so I might be able to resell just the enclosures.

My 16 TB NAS is getting full, I have managed to get it down to 80% full, but its time to increase the storage. I have a 4 drive NAS, with raid 5 so I'll have slightly less than 24 TB. I also will upgrade my older Qnap 6 Drive NAS as well. Its used to backup the smaller one.

Bought alone, a 8TB WD Red goes for $224, so $85 is a really good price even if one or two fail and you toss them.

They say its designed to easily remove the drives, so I might be able to resell just the enclosures.
