  • in all 8K modes the EOS R5 will support Canon’s renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
  • ability to internally record 8K using the full width of the sensor at up to 30p,
  • also confirms the EOS R5 supports advanced animal AF – recognising dogs, cats and birds, relying not only on the eyes of the animal but also the face and body for situations when the eyes are not visible.
  • new approaches to image stabilisation,
This is sounding better and better.

Serious work in the AF department, as well as very high video functionality too.

Truly seems this camera is going to be a very competent FF mirrorless indeed...
*checks bank balances and credit card limit....tee hee hee* ;)

This does indeed seem to be the Canon FF mirrorless body that I will get.
Not necessarily immediately, but when the time is right for me....
