Wow! Lovely pictures. How did you find it?
They are running wild in my backyard, I have lived there 12 yrs and this is the first year I have noticed them.

Hi Rick!

Nice pictures, thank you for sharing.

Some questions about technique, although I could gest some info from your flickr profile:
- How did you do the lighting?
- Did you use the Sigma 105 Macro, or what lens?
- Was the spider still or was it moving a lot?

Thank you in advance.

- How did you do the lighting? Yongnou YN24ex flash
- Did you use the Sigma 105 Macro, or what lens? Yes the 105mm but I also use the canon MP-E65mm
- Was the spider still or was it moving a lot? Yes, he was very mobile but did stop for short periods to look at his reflection :)

Thank you in advance.
The mirror I used was one out of a rear projection TV, you need to get one that has the mirrored surface on the front side (normal mirrors are silvered on the back) otherwise you will get shadow images. If you hadn't already worked out the black background is because the flash isn't powerful enough to light it. These were taken during the day with my loungeroom as a background.
