On1 Photo 10 with/without Adobe Photoshop LightRoom.

Anyone use On1 Photo 10 post processing software? Thoughts?

It looks great on the web site, but is there any compelling reason to get it?

I've been using ON 1 Photo 10 as a Lightroom plugin and I really like it. Unlike Lightroom, it allows the use of layers. However, I still need Lightroom for accessing my Topaz Black and White plugin.

Tried quite a few recently for pairing with Capture One. Don't know what On1 is like to use as a plugin but I didn't like the interface I preferred PhotoLine not the easiest to learn but very powerful and allows me to work in 16bit. Price was good too.

I actually liked ON1 9 better, as it was faster and had pretty much all the same editing functions.

But I am using 10 and hoping that the coming update will bring the promised speed improvements.

I mostly use just the Effects module, but sometimes the B&W.

Sometimes, if a photo doesn't need much, I use it straight from Lightroom, but mostly, for better control, I bring the corrected RAW into Photoshop.

Effects combines a very good adjustment brush and layers with super useful filters.

You won't be sorry spending the time on the free trial!
