Show us your Photo Blog

How many CR members write a photo blog? One member has been linking some nice travel blogs in the Travel forum. I also write a travel blog, a humorous look at my photo trips. I only do one every few months so I don't inundate people. I have two so far, which you will find by scrolling to the bottom of my home page: https://fredhoodphotography.com/

Now let's see yours!

It's not a photo blog as such, but on my home page http://www.stevelee.name/ near the top is a "travels" section that links to pictures I've made on trips during this century and one year before, listed in reverse chronological order. Also, there is link near the top of the page to my work in progress postings of my Hawaii pictures. There are also some pages of photos among those linked in the next section.

For a previous trip I added a page http://www.stevelee.name/rockiesroadtrip/comments.html that summarizes my personal history with (and without, before 2000) travel photography. The concluding paragraph might be worth reading by folks who travel and take pictures.

@SteveLee - thanks for link and having the guts to post a page that says you only use compact cameras on a gearhead forum. ;)

I'm certainly not ashamed of using a G7X II when I travel. I think a lot of the pictures are decent enough to suggest it is a good choice for that purpose. It fits in my pocket, and it doesn't get me obsessed with messing with the camera. On this forum I probably should have claimed that I used the latest and greatest Nikon FF and Sony mirrorless as the reason I left my new 6D2 at home when I left for Hawaii, because of one stop less DR at ISO 100 and no 4K. And I was afraid to be seen with it because people would point and laugh and mock the lack of on-chip ADC, etc.

Otherwise, I probably have about as bad a case of GAS as anybody here. I just don't have the funds to do much about it.

The top of my home page does have a crocus picture I made with my 100mm macro on the 6D2. And the Chinese lantern exhibit pictures from the Stowe Gardens was made with that body and its 24-100mm kit lens.

I'm getting the vibe you are talking about me here... ;D

I did start posting in the Travel section as soon as it was introduced. It was pretty quiet over there for a long time but it's picking up some pace in recent months which is nice.

My 'blog' if you want to call it that is not exclusively about travelling, but the travel related stuff makes up about 90% of all the content.

If anyone is interested: http://www.focrates.com/articles/articles.html

Ben
