upgrade From 1dMk2 to ? 5dmk3 or 1DX

Shoot mainly weddings, portraits. Which should I choose?
22mpx or 18mpx...important?

22 vs 18 mp not an issue
for weddings i find i prefer the smaller lighter form of the 5D over the 1D
I think the 5Dmk3 is going to be an excellent wedding camera

For wedding use, I couldn't justify spending twice as much for a 1Dx over the 5DIII. That said, either will be a HUGE upgrade in terms of image quality. I love my 1DMKII for it's responsiveness, build quality, AF and speed, but its image quality is antiquated by today's standards. Even my 5DC kicks its butt in terms of noise, color, contrast, and overall IQ.

cuz it wont make much different if you decide to have a picture print big.
