What does canon do for Sony NEX-VG10 ?

Funny somehow that it took so long since somebody (now it's Sony) releases a Camcorder with a big sensor. I expected this to happen much earlier. Maybe there is a difference between offering video-capability in a DSLR and offering the same in a camcorder which primary purpose is to record video with a certain level of quality (although I don't exactly see the lack of quality comparing e.g. the 7D with Sony's VX2100).

Where ever it is and whatever it is I hope it is FULL FRAME not aps-c
Why this? APS-C equates to the standard 35 mm film-look... A full frame is even bigger.

The Arri Alexa (23.760x13.365 mm), RED ONE (Super 35mm cine sized (24.4×13.7mm) sensor) Sony F35 Cine Alta (Super 35), Panavision Genesis (Super 35) and the Panavision Phantom 35/HD (25.6mm square) are all Professional Cine Cameras, and non are full frame.

As @Jan said: A Super 35 Film Camera camera aperture is 24.89 mm × 18.66 mm.

Full frame would have the same benefits for video as for stills. I.e. greater control of DoF, better compatibility with EF lenses, superior low light performance. Also, it makes total sense to go full frame for cannon, unlike Panasonic who only had 4/3 chips in the parts bin and who don't have a range of full frame lenses to flog.
