Where is the G17??

So, where is the "rumored" Canon Powershot G17 with a 1" sensor that was supposed to be announced in May???

That is the camera I am looking forward to I hope Canon get it right.

It was not a believable rumor.

The G7X is likely the replacement with 1 in sensor. Canon changes the model number when the sensor size changes. The only exception that I know of is the 1 series when it went to FF.

There may be a new small camera announced, but its unlikely to have a 1 in sensor. The sensor size means a much larger lens, so it becomes totally different.

It would be an immediate buy for me if anything Canon releases directly competes with the RX100 iv.
4k, 960fps slowmo and everything included. Of course, they can up the game and make it a constant 1.8 aperture.
I would gladly fork over $1500 to $2000 for it... Though the cheaper the better. Also, can't be more than 1 year for it to be released.
