Which lens(es) to take to NYC?

Hello!

I will be traveling to NYC soon and I would like to take my 7D along with a single lens simply document/capture
some moments of the trip. I currently have in my possession these Canon lenses: 50mm f/1.8, 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6, and 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6. I am also considering either renting a lens or adding another one to my collection.

If you had to choose one lens to take with you, which would it be?

I would take the 28-135 and rent/buy an ultrawide as well, or just the 15-85 I guess.

The 15-85. I've walked around NYC a lot with that lens on an APS-C. Great single-use lens for the city.

With only 1 from your list, the 15-85. But I would highly encourage you to rent the 10-22 (or equivalent) in addition.

Why not take them all?

15-85 for walkaround and if you can take the 50 1.8 for night shots or rent another fast lens such as 28mm 1.4.

The 15-85mm is a perfect fit for this purpose. The other two lenses aren't wide enough.
