Why not wait for the new real MacPro? That's what I'm doing, still on a 2013 MacPro can.

I'm gonna see if anything is announced at WWDC (apple conference in june?).....

From what I've heard, the Mac Pro won't be coming out likely till well into mid 2019.

I have an old MBP 2011.....I've upgraded it with internal SSD, I have SSD thunderbolt drives attached.
I over maxed it out with 16GB ram.

I can't go any further with it, and it is showing its age....I"m actually not creating as much as I'd like due to this, sadly.

I think I will go with a medium iMac pro soon...likely in the $8K range.

I have been in talks with Apple Business and they offer things not offered to consumers. I may look at leasing this iMac pro.....and once the Mac Pro comes out, maybe even has a revision....I'll possibly trade it the iMac pro and other lease or buy the Mac Pro.

But would be nice not to have to suffer lack of resources longer than I already have.

That's kinda my $0.02 and thoughts on it....
