Anyone know why the live view touch AF doesn’t work when I have my camera set up as back button AF only? I normally disable AF on the shutter button. When I switch AF back to the shutter, the touch AF works again. This is kinda annoying!

The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being. Check page 328 of your manual, it lists some of the settings that prevent touch AF. Assignment of certion functions to a button disables touch AF. Make sure you have not done any of those.

It's a "feature", unfortunately. Touch AF is tied to shutter half-press AF in a sense so BBF only means BBF only. IMO it's annoying but you can work around it a bit by assigning "touch AF mode" to one of the C modes.
