Amazon Kingfisher in flight from a recent trip on the Amazon River (Solimões River and Rio Negro) upriver from Manaus in Amazonas, Brazil.

You never know when you might see a bird. Late afternoon, while I was sipping a glass of rosé in my garden, a couple of Buteo buteo (buzzards to us Europeans) circled overhead, just close enough for the 200-800, for 30 seconds, just enough for 600 shots!
