Greetings everyone. I have a Canon 500D camera. I want to use it as a webcam. I connected the connections to the computer with the capture card. I reflect instantly. However, the machine turns itself off after 30 or 40 minutes. I press the shutter button halfway and the image comes back. I see that the battery is half charged. I disabled the energy saving settings. I also changed it to default settings. Please support me as to what the reason is.

When in live view, if the camera overheats, it shuts down. That was common with the first cameras to have live view. My 40D would shut down as well. I had 4 of them, all the same.

I think the solution is to find a newer one, a 5 year old one would be a big upgrade over a 12 year old one but still be affordable. Something like a 80D, it has dual pixel tech and is still a great camera. A body only for $400-600. Kits run more.
