whoever puts up a review is going to enjoy soem SRIOUS traffic. the whole photo internets is waiting to hear whats good with those outer focus points

so true. even though I probably won't buy one (unless my 5D Mark II has an unexpected fiery death), I'm still really, really interested to see how the 6D performs in real world use, especially with the -3EV sensitive AF point.

Has anyone's order from B&H shipped yet?
I submitted my order yesterday and the status is processing.

They have been open to pre-orders for the camera for some time now so there is most likely a backlog that needs to be filled first before reaching those who placed an order yesterday. There is also a concern regarding the strike at the Los Angeles/Long Beach ports on California. Even though it is on the other side of the country, so much of what comes from Asia goes through those ports that the strike could strongly affect product availability in the upcoming months. There are over 17 container ships just off the coast waiting for the strike to end.

Re: Canon EOS 6D Body Only in Stock at B&H

Please help me up? .... Is there any significant benefits of going with 6D instead of 5D mk II where the old 5D mkII is about $300 cheaper and has a more "Pro" body as compare to 6D which seems more Prosumer!

Pro
+ WiFi, GPS
+ Central focus point claim to be more light (by how much?)
+ Probably lower noise at high ISO (assuming using similar 5DmkIII gapless technology)

Con
- only 1/4000 max shutter speed
- no sync-cable connection
- only 1/180 flash sync
- not field proven as 5Dmkii yet

IMHO ... if someone is looking for more "Pro" features and can't pay for 5DmkIII, the old 5D mkII seems to be a better deal!

Only time will tell. 1/4000 is not much below 1/8000 unless you want to shoot in full sunlight. As for not field proven, of course it isn't. It's new. 1/180 is just 0.1 EV difference with 1/200. "Pro" features are subjective. It depends on what you shoot. It's low-light and DR performance are more like than 1DX than a 5D3 as far as some personal reviews and dpreview had done (I'll reserve judgment when I get hold of the 6D).

That said, some people are selling the 6D @ only $200-300 more than a used 5D2. That kind of money, I can save in less than a month.
