Canon G3X Mark II

Hello all :)

I am looking at getting a compact bridge camera with a bit of a zoom on it and like the look of the G3X. I read some place that there may be an announcement in Feb (this month) about a possible G3X Mark II and a hope of it containing an APS-C sensor.

I would like to know your thoughts on how likely this is?

Thank you for any info/insight.

Cheers

I love my G3 X and it's my most frequently used camera apart from my phone. (And I have a 5D4 with full set of lenses, etc.) I'm eagerly looking forward to a new superzoom bridge offering from Canon, but I'm also not optimistic. An update to the Sony RX10 is likely in my future given this state of affairs.

I think it is overpriced, does not sell well, and not a priority for Canon to update.

I also think that I'll buy a Panasonic FZ1000 when I really need a backup to my 100-400.
It looks like there is a version 2 of the FZ1000 about to come out..... keep your eyes open for great deals!
