The thing I don't like about this drive is that it is not USB powered, it uses a AC adapter. WD drives have a excellent reputation for reliability, the use of AC power might help that, I don't know.

All external 3.5" drives uses 12V external power. USB has low voltage for them to power, unfortunately...

I assumed it was 2.5, since it said nothing in the description. The specs do say 3.5. It must be a 5400 rpm drive to sell for the low price, my 4TB 7200 RPM 3.5 drives cost me about $170 a few months ago, now they are $150.

Since it costs less than the WD 5400rpm 3.5 drives ($107), its a bargain, someone could possibly pull it out and use it as a internal drive if needed.
