The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

DPreview compares 80D with Sony A6300

I read it and as an Canonian, I can´t agree in some points to their opinion.
My grandson´s wife owns the A6300 and she uses it a lot of time in family shootings of their children. They are quite agile and a lot of shots are not sharp at all. But the 80D´s are. I rented it for a weekend from my local camera shop for deciding if I would buy it.
And the AF is very good. AND: You can use the 80D with my 100-400mm Canon II and 1.4x extender on it. The AF does not work on their 70-400mm lens as propriate as the Canons´s did. And it is rather hard to switch the AF point on the A6300 fast. Here the 80D is much better and more agile. And I was not able to use the 1.4 extender on the 70-400...
