The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Dragonflies and Damselflies

Emerald Damselfly taken by my wife using the R7 + RF 100-400mm - much better than the R5ii/RF 200-800mm for these close ups.

A Willow Emerald Damselfly taken by my wife ...
Beautiful shot, congrats to your wife.
ObsIdentify says 100% emerald damselfly (lestes sponsa). Willow emeralds (chalcolestes viridis) have no blue parts/eyes.
Otherwise very similar.
(edit: I still hope for you to get your willow emerald ;). Here the lestes sponsa are less frequent. Last year I spottet my first one)

I too used Obsidentify (which calls it "common spreadwing")and made a mistake in typing the name here. If you hover over the image, you can see I labelled it just female-emerald damselfly (3R3A5190-DxO_Female_emerald_damselfly.jpg).
