The biggest photography business event of the year is happening right now!

Every year our friends at 5DayDeal put on what I personally consider to be the biggest, most exciting photography education event of the year. This year they’ve got three exclusive bundles happening, and their first 5-day event of 2017 is happening right now! The short version is, you get $2200+ in photography business and marketing resources for $97 – that’s a savings of 96%. Learn more.

The 2017 Complete Photography Business & Marketing Bundle is running Jan.19-24 over at 5DayDeal, and it’s a massive collection of video tutorials, eBooks, worksheets, templates, and tools for photographers of all levels. Whether you’re an emerging or seasoned photographer, this library of resources will fill you with ideas and tools to help you make money doing what you love. With industry pros like Sue Bryce, Joel Grimes, Peter Hurley, and Serge Ramelli, you know you’re in good hands. Check it out!

What’s really important to note is that this bundle comes with the 5DayDeal promise: every single product included is 100% brand new to 5DayDeal. No repeated products. And they’ll never be offered ever again. Period.

You might be wondering, what if you already own one of these products?

That’s all right, The Complete Photography Business & Marketing Bundle is still a total bargain even if you already have one or a few of the products. It’s also good no matter what your level is – there’s something in there for everyone.

However, the best part of the whole thing is that a full 10% of the revenue from the sales goes directly to 4 awesome, specially chosen charities: The BOMA Project, Camp Smile-a-Mile, The Exodus Road, and Mercy Ships.

They’re looking to raise over $50,000 for these charities in five days and to do that, they’ll need your help. Head over to 5DayDeal to check out the sale, and, even if you choose not to buy this year, please share the sale with your network to help raise awareness. Not only is this a great deal; it’s a great cause that I’m extremely proud to support, and I hope you will too.

Oh God once I got suckered into buying this. It's such a waste of $100. Basically a bunch of youtube "experts" showing 30 minute videos of needless 'shopping to make their mediocre images slightly less mediocre. Sure there is some decent stuff in there, but it's no where near the value they claim it is. And for newbs, I think spending $100 on a tripod or polarizer filter would be a lot more useful.

I've done the 5 day deal before. There are always some goods bits in it but most of it you'd never sit through.its just old stuff they have reheated and sold (that you'd never normally purchase. Great idea by whoever came up with it but I wouldn't recommend it. This one is very business oriented, lots of blah blah blah. The market is saturated with photographers. To be successful in it you'd need to be different and not follow the herd.

These days, I'm wondering if the primary way to be VERY successful as a photographer....is to be in the photographer Education Market....?

It seems some of the really popular instructors make good $$....and for the life of me, it appears that that is about all they do these days...that they make their living off of giving instruction, not actual photography.

+1

With the wealth of knowledge on forums like this one, youtube, etc. putting that $100 towards a piece of gear seem like a better option.

I echo the recommendation to buy Scott Kelby's book. I took a 4 session LR class from a local instructor and didn't make much progress until I bought Kelby. Very well written, logical progression, good examples.
I'll 3rd the Kelby book.

And do spend time on the non-fun stuff which is almost the first half of the book...learning to set up to organize, set up some presets, etc.

In the long run, you will find that to be a HUGE value in keeping things organized.

My $0.02,

anyone have suggestions were to learn lightroom?

Buy a book on LR CC...Tony Northup, Scott Kelby, etc...it's nice to have a reference in your hand as opposed to many internet sources.
I'm using Lightroom for years so am pretty good with it but someone gave me a loan of Tony Northrup's book. It looks a bit home made but its very comprehensive. Really good I thought.
