• UPDATE

The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Fisheye for Canon

Re:Arrived today...

OUT OF THE BOX

Solid construction, all metal (weight 519gr).
The optical scheme is 11 lenses in 8 groups, then it is NOT a copy of SAMYANG (10 lenses in 7 groups) or WALIMEX.
The hood is fitted with some difficulties but I think that it will suffice to mount it and remove it for a few tens of times for…soften it.
The focus ring is soft but from "1.5m" to"infinity" there are no intermediate indications.
The diaphragm is 9 blades (and not 6 as the Samyang)
“Clicks” are precise but writings are a little undertone.
The bayonet mount is in metal.
You can install on APS-C (rectangular image) or on FF (circular image)
The price on Amazon is 189euros (with soft carrying case, cleaning cloth & Shipping included).
Some months ago I bought by Meike the battery-grip for the EOS 6D perfectly identical to the original (50 euros...)

Photo 1-2) This is the difference of the framed field between Meike 8mm fisheye and Sigma 8-16 (at 8mm)
Photos 3,etc) The results on the field
Very few reflections in the backlight with the sun in the viewfinder

EOS 7D MKII (AV MODE at F 8 - 11)
