Fujifilm announces the 40mp X-T50 with IBIS

I'm surprised at how will my 5 year old M6II still holds up: 32MP APS-C, 12fps RAW shootings, uncropped, with a fully mechanical shutter, uncropped 4k video.
Still the best camera, I just feel bad that the M line has to end so soon to make way for RF-S, now when Canon releases a RF-S M6 style in silver with 32mm 1.4, I will gift the M6mkII to my niece!

I just bought an EOS M6 mk2 because my R5 is too much camera for candid street photography. For me, it's having all those dials and buttons that I can configure similarly to my professional body so going between the two is a breeze. I really wish Canon would release an EOS R body in a similar form factor.

This is a very tough sale for Fuji, same price R7, almost the price of X-T5, cutting dials, joystick, dpads, jeez. Is Fuji becoming a fashion brand now?
1699 vs 1399 isn't in the same price bracket.

The R7 was MSRP'ed at release at $1499 and has none of the lenses. Until Sigma and Tamron get rolling that will always be the problem with the Canon APS-C RF lineup.

without a doubt the M6 Mark II is an insanely good camera.

I bet the designers wanted to do an M5 Mark II with IBIS and the RF group was worried it would kill the RF sales.
