For the past 2 years or more I have been unable to install DPP4 and Canon Utilities on my latest MacBooks and have had to find workarounds like installing on an older model and copying over. There are some complicated other workarounds on the net but here is the simplest. Just set up a separate new Admin account and use that solely for installing Canon software, then switch back to your standard account. There must be some conflicts with other software if you don't do that.

The latest problem has been that Canon Utilities 3 has stopped working with the latest MacOS. I had downloaded what I thought was the latest version, 3.15.10, from the UK site and that hadn't worked. I discovered today that there is a newer version 3.16.1.3 but it isn't on the local site or EU site and found it eventually on the Canon Canada site. Oh dear Canon...
