Issue about macro stacking and Photoshop

Hi , there I'm James.
I decided to try it myself with software I already have - Photoshop CC. I did multiple test images today but few of the processed stacks suffer from some very bad blending on edges.

Example images show the result from Photoshop (Auto align and auto blend stacked images) and three source layers for the incorrectly blended area. What am I doing wrong and what I need to do to avoid this issue?

Any help would be great.
Thank in advance.

Hi James. I've tried PS, Zerene Stacker and Helicon Focus 6. I find Helicon Focus to be the best, the least artifacts. I ended up buying the Lite version. $115. Here is an example of a stack using 20 images. I just blacked out YellowHibiscus4271-91web.jpgthe background. I was using a 150 mm macro, 5DsR at 6.7F. Very narrow depth of focus at close range. I converted from raw first and saved as tiff, then stacked.

Can you post an example?

Problems can be due to a number of things: how much overlap in DOF you have between shots (macro shots have notoriously small DOF); any movement of the subject between shots, specular highlights are particularly difficult to blend effectively, and last is the software.
I have read a fair bit about this with the intention of doing more of it, and you will see the really experienced users often have 2 or three programs available because different programs have different strengths.
