Join Forces and Influence Canon to Improve Products

Can we canonrumors fans join forces and lobby Canon to improve their products? I want to!
My top item that needs changing:
- The utterly useless and unnecessary Macro setting on all PowerShot models. There is NO reason why they cannot simply make this continuous focus. How many times have you framed up a cool shot only to get the yellow "cannot focus" box? By the time you switch over to macro the shot is frequently gone. This feature is unquestionably the most annoying on the G1 X - but it's on all PowerShots and is completely UNnecessary.

There is a reason for the Macro setting, it would slow down AF by a huge amount. Even professional Macro lenses like the 100mm L have a focus limiter so a user can get fast AF when he is not using Macro.

I understand your thought process. But the lenses on PowerShots are extremely short focal length lenses. A focus limiter on a large 100mm lens makes sense. It makes no sense on a 5.2-26mm lens (PowerShot S100) for example. I think it's an example of Canon not being able to rethink the way they've done things forever. I hope enough people that find it completely unnecessary will let Canon know - harness the power of the web!
