Yes, that is the plan: get everyone hanging out there waiting for the pro R body to land and then offload truck loads of glass at the time of release into the market.
Provided I need 2 bodies, a trinity of 2.8 zooms 28-70/2.0 including, 35/1.2(4), 85/1.2(4), 100 f whatever macro, 100-400 ( I keep my EF lens).... I am very likely up to US$15K out of pocket at the time of purchasing the kit.

I was very much planning to buy the EF 100-400, but with the size and weight of the RF 70-200, I'm thinking that plus the eventual 2x teleconverter might be the better buy... I mean, a 2.8 tele zoom for 1kg that's unobtrusive when collapsed? Yes please!

I'm waiting for a Mirrorless Pro body from Canon. If I go Canon Mirrorless I may go with Sigma lenses as the RFS are way too expensive. Hopefully they'll drop in time.
I will stick with Canon. the build quality is the best, I got an 18-35 sigma and it is falling apart and the AF kinda sucks.

Sorry to hear about your sigma 18-35. Sigma seems to get really good reviews for a 3rd party mfr. My preference would always be Canon with Canon glass.
