• UPDATE

The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Photography Blog has completed their extensive review of the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II, a decent follow-up to the popular Canon PowerShot G9 X.

From Photography Blog

Although owners of the original Canon PowerShot G9 X aren’t going to be too excited by the improvements on offer, the new Mark II does represent a minor step forward for Canon’s most pocket-friendly compact camera, particularly in its operational speed.

In summary, the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II adds just enough new features (just) to make it worth considering as a truly take-anywhere pocket camera. Read the full review

After reading the review, it seems the camera is quite good, but you may find more value in the original PowerShot G9 X, especially after its recent big price drop.

The Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II is now shipping:

I find this camera size to be the best gap filler between a phone camera and a DSLR, due to it being just pocket sized. That's based on my own jeans pockets :)

Would be interesting to know if that reflects general sales figures for the different camera sizes.

Is there any higher-performance alternative that is same or smaller size, than this particular model?
