Nah. However remember this is the $450 entry level model in the new series.
Just watched the Camera Labs video and it does downsample the sensor in 1080p, which is great. However... the battery is built in, not replaceable... so that might be the reason I don't purchase it. Though Gordon did say he got over an hour of footage in 1080p.

What's going on here?
Canon have only just announced the camera, yet SmallRig have already got a cage and accessories in production for it.
Some pre-production collaboration between Canon and SmallRig?
Just how long have SmallRig known about the V10?

Sharing product details (CAD drawings, other files, or early pre-production models) is quite normal. Despite Apple's best efforts, most of the iPhone leaks are from the makers of cases, screen protectors and other accessories (e.g. the elimination of the notch from the iPhone 14 Pro was inferred from the design of the screen protectors that leaked well in advance of the launch).

Another recent example, DxO PhotoLab supported the R8 before it was in my hands (and I got one from the first allocation to B&H), so clearly they had the RAW files in advance. Not sure how long that's been the case, but for previous camera purchases I had to use DPP for a couple of months until DxO started supporting the camera and lens combos.

It was a collaboration, the press was handed the small rig kit by Canon themselves.

Just reviewed the specs for the camera... but I'm not seeing anything about this camera that indicates if it downsamples the entire image sensor for 1080p 60p, or if it crops. Anyone seen anything about this?
It's not the "entire sensor" anyway. The lens is digitally corrected for barrel distortion.

And yet Canon seems to have more issues with Adobe given the time it took for R5 profiles to be available in LR. Has it been better in the last 3 years?
