UPDATE
The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.
I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here. But I need some help figuring out what this is and how to fix it. There a bunch of speckles in my 85mm and I want to sell the lens. But I want it fixed before selling. Any help?
Ehh send it to Canon.. It could be mold & mildew. But I never seen speckles like that before on the inside.. Are you sure its not lights above you? Looks like sea spray on the outside of your lens.. Try windex..
I thought you were initially talking about dust when I saw the thread title; dust inside this particular lens is normal and I have about five clearly defined big dust specks under my rear element.
What you're showing, however, is not normal. The lens needs to be sent in if those are indeed spots under the glass. It looks like it potentially could be mould.
OP: first thing I'd do is give the outside of that front element a gentle clean with pecpads and ROR or Eclipse fluid, then view it again, under different light sources. It's surprisingly easy to mistake surface spatter (like sea spray, as already suggested, or in my case the mucus from a sneezing Beagle) for something on the underside of the element, especially under artificial light.
It doesn't show well in the picture. But it is definitely not dust and it is definitely inside the lens. They all look very similar. Like pin head sized bubbles.
