The forum will be moving to a new domain in the near future (canonrumorsforum.com). I have turned off "read-only", but I will only leave the two forum nodes you see active for the time being.

I don't know at this time how quickly the change will happen, but that will move at a good pace I am sure.

Does anyone know if the 650D will have digital zoom like the 600D? If the 650D does have it, I'll buy it but if not I'm going to have to go for the 600D!

I've litterally read/watched every review I can find on the internet with no information about it..?

Please somone telll me it has it. ;D

Hmm, this is interesting. Two websites saying the opposite thing. :D

Not surprising, the blogs have very little advance notice, and they often start with the specs of a existing model and update those that changed to the new ones. Since Canon did not specify video digital zoom, it may have been left as unchanged in the boilerplate.

At some point, someone will definitely say its not there, or it is there. Anyone can make a error, so going by what Canon specifications, its not mentioned and likely not there. They want you to buy a new zoom lens.

Any updates?

I asked this guy when he posted his hands on review, he says he can't find this feature anywhere on the T4i, looks like a no to me, read his reply in the comment section.

Hmm that's interesting indeed...

I would've assumed Canon would've kept the video digital zoom feature from the 600D. Why would a feature like that be removed?

Thanks, have been unsure on if to go for the 600D or the 650D for a while now but that has just persuaded me to go for the 600D and save some money while I'm at it.

Shame really, I guess they just want you to buy the zoom/telephoto lenses.
