The other unique thing about shooting landscapes wide open like this is that it produces almost a tilt/shift effect in the foreground (although more rounded).

Good points Dustin and glad to see more images. The f1.4 quality is rather addictive. I sometime arrest myself for going wide open, when a couple of stops down would make more sense ...

f/2.8 - detail is amazingly resolved throughout the scene in the original. This lens leaves everything other than the Otus 55 in the dirt at wide apertures.

Just noticed the 1Dx Gallery is "locked" ?? Tried 3 computers and all the same, the site doesn't allow comment, Images to be added etc, seems a dead link, since November 01st when the last Image/Comment was posted.
Anyone else with this issue ??

I got the Otus 85 on Wednesday, and took a few shots at Shiojiri Japanese garden in Mishawaka, Indiana this afternoon. Here's my favorite of the bunch.
