Rebel T1i Service advisory is probably imminent. :)
I posted this because people can get pretty angry about a camera service advisory. It has been a rough 24 months for Canon and their quality control. This is just a reminder that no one is immune.

Yes, turning out a new model every year means there will be less time to test, and more of the problems like this, no matter who makes the camera. Of course, some manufacturers just refuse to acknowledge problems, those are the ones to be concerned about.
I really hate it when consumers become beta testers. Any product for that matter. real pain in the ass.
yeah. lets be glad canon isn’t as bad about it as Microsoft was with windows vista
group hug? LOL
its been really crazy with the canons, first the 1D AF problem then when the 5DII came out we head the black pixel problem. Its good nikons has some bugs gives us our confidence back.
You forgot about the 1DS mark III AF problem. ;)
That’s why I’ve bought a 5D (mk 1) for about 1000 USD and could buy a 16-35 II with the money i’ve saved :p
D700 has black spot problems that no one want to acknowledge. Canon users are more critical about their products.
And, my Canon has a direct print button…
I would feel much better with the release of a real’ new Canon camera (and not a f*ing 2000D! :).
Fake Chuck’s latest post about Takahito Mizutani is hilarious :J
well nikon fixed that via firmware, it was first seen on their D3, but since it wasn’t new-camera holiday season people weren’t shooting christmas lights (ideal black dot creation scenario) and then looking at the images @ 200% so no one noticed
well, in times as black holes are a reality, why shouldn’t black dots have their day…;-)
I wish they put a backup one in the battery grip
It’s just the grass looking greener from afar syndrome. Remember all the “Nikon’s never break” comments when the G10 had a problem a while back? It’s interesting we don’t see all the Nikon bashing when they screw up though.
Any more 1D IV info? August is coming up!
how about a 200-500/5.6 L already?
or 200-400 f/4…
Getting back to the rumored Canon 400 f4.5 IS > Google > Images > Minolta 400 f4.5
There’s little point singling out Microsoft; all major software companies are guilty of this, particularly game producers/publishers.
There’s never been a defect or recall on the direct print button…woo hoo!!!
+1
200-400 f/4 … I would buy this in a heart beat
Does any one have a d5000? We could put it in the middle and circle jerk on it.
+2!!!
I got your d5000 right here buddy…
lol
