Sigma is going to be increasing prices on their entire camera and lens lineup on June 2, 2025, in the USA. Stock that is already in the USA will not be affected by this price increase, but it’s probably best to purchase new Sigma gear before June 2, as supplies may start to deplete before that date at the current prices.
Sigma makes 6 RF mount lenses for APS-C cameras. Some may call them “RF-S” lenses, but that is the same mount as “RF”, the lenses just have a smaller image circle for the smaller lenses.

Sigma Announcement
Due to the recent implementation of government-imposed tariffs, our costs at Sigma America have increased substantially. We have made every effort to absorb these added expenses, but the sustained impact of the tariffs now necessitates a price increase to ensure we can continue delivering the quality and service you expect.
Key Details:
- Current pricing will remain in effect for all orders placed and fulfilled by May 31, 2025, subject to product availability.
- New pricing will take effect on June 2, 2025, and will apply to all new orders and any unfulfilled items.
We understand this is difficult news to hear, and please know this decision was not made lightly. We have always prided ourselves on delivering unmatched value to our customers, and we are doing everything we can to continue to do that while providing the same service and product excellence.

Summary
All of the camera and lens companies will be increasing prices over the next month or two, and some have already have. Seeing a Leica D-Lux 8 moving to $2700 is pretty wild, especially for a camera that is pretty much an 8 year old Panasonic!
The Sigma increases won’t be as high as anything coming out of China, but the 10% tariff on Japan will still affect pricing.
If you’re in the market for any of the Sigma RF mount lenses, now is the time to make a purchase. I recently purchased the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DG DN for the EOS R50 V, and I am extremely happy with it thus far.
