  1. And the 16-35 is 325€ extra per mm vs the 17-40:unsure:
I don't think comparing the 17-40 against any modern ultra wide angle lens is fair. The EF17-40 was never a good lens ir=t sold because it was built down to a price and had a red ring. The EF 16-35 f4 L IS was Canon's first truly great ultra wide angle zoom and is miles better in every respect than the 17-40. The RF 16-35 f4 L IS will build on the EF version not the earlier 17-40!
  2. Yep, and the 11-24/4L is $433 per mm on the wide end vs the RF 14-35.

Have we stumbled upon the secret pricing formula? :D
  3. Is there a shipping date for the RF 14-35mm lense in the US? In Germany, photo stores say it ships on August, 25/26th. I'd need to know (but can't find any info) because I leave the states for Germany again on August 28the

The Canon USA mobile site said the ship date was 8/26 for a while. but now that date is no longer visible.
  5. Hopefully it's a mistake but B&H now has it listed for $2,299. Adorama still has it at $1699
