In news that surprises no one, Canon is now warning of a shortage of the new Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM and the older Canon Speedlite EL-1.
I’m a little surprised by the Speedlite EL-1 but maybe Canon is surprised that someone bought one, and didn’t have any on hand. That being said the release of the Speedlite EL-10 may have increased sales of the Speedlite EL-1. I could see where people might purchase one or 2 higher-powered Speedlite EL-1 flashes and fill in the rest with the cheaper Speedlite EL-10.
I would strongly recommend getting on preorder lists for the Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM if you haven’t already;
- Midwest Photo $1499
- Adorama $1499
- B&H Photo $1499
- Canon USA $1499
- Wex Photo £1819
- Foto Koch €1899
- Camera Canada $1999

I'm in awe at how bad Fuji botched the X100VI. At least there's no shortage for my Instax film fun.
